Alex Newton is an editor and director living in Savannah Georgia, raised in Pennsylvania of Catalan and Texan descent. Focusing primarily in the world of documentary, his award-winning work has been played at festivals that include Savannah, Orlando, New Haven, Breckenridge, Twin Cities, HollyShorts, IndieGrits, and the Art Monastery Of Italy. He has served as a freelance editor for clients including Digitas, Vice, and The New York Times. In addition, Alex has worked in independent film distribution for Cinetic, Cinedigm, Studio Ghibli, Rooster Teeth, and Drafthouse Films.
Alex is a Professor of Film and Television at the Savannah College Of Art And Design.
